This is the most unusual entry in the filmography, as the film was never actually completed. In fact, it was barely started when the project "went into turn-around" as they say in Hollywood. David Chan originally planned for this to be an English language version of Mr. Vampire, but problems with production and the imported stars caused the film to be shut down. Bey Logan reports that Raymond Chow delivered the following edict after reviewing the situation: "We've barely started, so we needn't finish."
