This was Lam Ching-Ying's first Action Directing gig, but he's clearly on screen for a matter of seconds only.

One of the archetype Kung Fu movies, the students who must avenge their sifu's death, serves for this early Bruce Lee vehicle. This was Lam Ching-Ying's first Action Director gig, so I really wish my copy was letterboxed so I could see it all. Bruce's acting seems to be top notch in this one, but that's based strictly on facial expression and body language, not on the silly voice he has in the dubbed version. Set in Shanghai under Japanese occupation early in the century, Bruce is set up as a Wong Fei-Hung style hero, protecting the Chinese locals from foreign encroachment and corrupt officials.-gg-
