This was Lam Ching-Ying's first movie. He is a stunt double for Cheng Pei-Pei, and also appears onscreen as a young monk.
I first saw the title reported as Gold Sabre Big Hero for the literal English translation, but further investigation leads me to suspect that Silky or Silken Sabre may be more accurate, as I've seen the characters translated that for some martial stances. The first word, Gam (Jin) translates more directly as Silk in the form of a brocade or tapestry, but does indeed indicate great value, like gold. So the first translation may be more accurate than my amateur attempts. So both titles are still listed. I know very little else about the film at this point, but you can be sure I'll be continuing to dig for more info.
