(1989)
Producer: Lam Ching-Ying
When modern drug couriers turn out to be unstoppable undead, you know it's going to get fun. The police are instantly out of their depth, and the captain calls in an old friend, Lam Ching-Ying, to deal with the problem. Michiko Nishikawa makes a formidable opponent as a sorceress with seemingly equal skills and a truely evil heart. Lam's action choreography for the fights are top-notch, especially the fight between Billy Chow and himself. An excellent mix of action, comedy and characters, this is probably my favorite Lam Ching-Ying movies, and also one of my favorite movies, period.
This film was virtually ignored when it was screened. What idiots! They missed out on probably LCY's best film. Anyways, to the movie-LCY is an aging seargent out in the backwaters. After a strange drug case, where walking cadavers were used to smuggle drugs, he gets called back into HK. The police are sceptical but his former buddy Wu Ma (who LCY hates) forces two policemen to work, and live with him. An excellent blend of horror/comedy/action, this is a must-see. LCY is amazing in this-he's like a walking rubber band! -Cissi-
