Lam Ching-Ying in full blossom as his Eternal Sifu character. Definitely one of the definitive LCY movies, not to be missed by any of his fans.

The second one is even better than the first, with some genuine gross out elements like cockroach animated corpses and a wicked sorceror who reminds me of the travelling leech salesman from Doctor, Doctor. Lam plays his Eternal Sifu to the hilt, with all the answers as each new insurmountable problem appears. It also features one of those cool long distance fat si duels with each attacking and defending from within their own casting circles. Care to guess which one knows every counterspell and can take down the other? Both this one and the original are fun and should be on your list to of films to see. -gg-
