Happy Lam Ching-Ying's Birthday!

To celebrate his birthday, as I mentioned on the 10th anniversary of his death last month, I'm kicking off a new online comic, Eternal Sifu. This marks the beginning of the site upgrade I've been planning for a while now. For far too long this site has been stagnant, and as I announced previously, there's much planned to bring it back to life over the next year. Today is simply the launch of the comic to mark the rebirth on the 10th anniversary of the launch of Lam Ching-Ying: Hero Of This World And The Next! I hope you'll come back to follow along, and see what else I have in store for the months to come. Some expansions may seem a bit odd, I suspect, but hopefully there'll be something for all his fans slong the way.

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Lam Ching-Ying's Birthday! (Think we can get that made into an international holiday?)

Some of the information provided by this site would not be possible without the help of the Hong Kong Movie Database, especially the Cantonese and Mandarin titles for Lam Ching-Ying's movies. In general, when my data on films conflicted with theirs, unless I had reason to do otherwise, I assumed their information was correct. Joseph Fierro created the database, and now Ryan Law maintains it. Both deserve many accolades for the fine service they have provided to fans of, and newcomers to, Hong Kong cinema. For info on the current state of the industry, forums and the essential database, visit the Hong Kong Movie Database!

In keeping with my links section to help you learn and understand Chinese culture and history, I've added this rotating Deciphering Chinese Characters link to ZhongWen.com:
I don't do any of the work on this feature, that's all done by Rick Harbaugh. Click on it to visit his site and discover access to a wide and varied database on the Chinese language(s).
